As the ninth week of self isolation draws to a close, we wanted to reach out and bring you some good news!
As a result of the Government’s decision to introduce a partial lift of lockdown on parks and open spaces, the Thoresby Estate has been preparing to re-open the parkland. As a result, today (Thursday 21st May) and tomorrow the car park is open to season ticket holders. It will be open to all members of the public from Saturday 23rd May, so you can come and enjoy the beautiful paths and scenery. Please be aware that the footpaths have been temporarily altered to ensure there is no path access to the village of Perlethorpe, where there are many elderly residents.
In line with the Government requirements, the Courtyard businesses remain closed to the public. A small takeaway refreshment offer is available in the doorway of the Coffee Shop, with social distancing measures are in place, so you can enjoy a cuppa at the end of your walk!
As you would expect, we continue to follow the government’s guidance: the shutters to our business remain firmly closed and our staff are safe in their homes. We are using our Facebook
feeds to run quizzes, provide gemstone education, showcase some of the techniques our Goldsmiths use, and share photographs of David’s beautiful designs. Please do pop on and enjoy the photographs, videos and stories, and share your comments and news.
We look forward to the opportunity to re-open our gallery. In the meantime, if you have any commission ideas that you would like to explore please do get in touch with David at firstname.lastname@example.org – he would be delighted to hear from you.
We hope that you continue to stay at home, safe and well, and we look forward to seeing you all as soon as is safely possible.
David and the DFJ Team
