James O’Leary is a Managing Partner at United Agency, a multi-disciplinary graphic design agency based in Lincoln. James studied Graphic Communication at De Montfort University Lincoln and began his career at ‘Dust’ in Sheffield. Early career highlights found him designing artwork for the Manchester United ‘Treble Suite’ at Old Trafford, celebrating their most successful season with three cup wins in 1999. James left ‘Dust’ to set up his own business: Studio View was created in 2002 and over 12 years their achievements included rebranding the Institute of Contemporary Music and creating a digital wall for HSBC’s headquarters in Canary Wharf. The business was renamed, ‘United Agency’ in 2014.

He enjoys the variety of industries with which he works, and the creative challenges that each poses. He gains great satisfaction from making a difference for each and every client, especially seeing their faces when he and his team unveil the final piece.

James is passionate about fashion, particularly watches, and prefers to buys timeless, beautifully made pieces linked by colour, tone and pattern. He is inspired by Vince Frost for his impactful designs and attitude towards excellence. If James was to give his younger self life advice, he would affirm the need to believe in your abilities and always strive to be the best.
